Samantha manages the bond department at STBB’s Illovo branch. She specializes in commercial and retail bonds and associated transactions. Included in her current responsibilities are the monitoring of and compliance with bank regulations and standards required for bond registrations, supervising and mentoring bond staff and overseeing all bond processes. She actively maintains and expands relationships with banks and mortgage originators.

Thought of the Week | FLISP Financing

The Department of Human Settlements offers a housing subsidy for low income, first time home owners by way of FLISP (Finance Linked Individual Subsidy Programme).

Successful applicants will have a combined household income between R3 501 – R15 000; be South African citizens, or have permanent residence permits; will not have qualified for a government housing subsidy before; will not have owned a residential property before; will be competent to contract; and will be married, or cohabiting, or single with financial dependents.

The documents must be submitted together with a valid sale agreement and bond approval. If all the requirements are met, applicant(s) could qualify for a subsidy of between R20,000 and R 87,000.
