Newsflash | The North Gauteng Deeds Registry: Pretoria confirms December 2024 working arrangements

The North Gauteng Deeds Registry: Pretoria has confirmed its December 2024 working arrangements in anticipation of its closure over the festive season.

According to the details of a notice issued by the Acting Registrar of Deeds: North Gauteng, please note the following dates for matters lodged at the North Gauteng Deeds Registry:

    • The Deeds Registry will close to clients and the public on Tuesday, 24th December 2024 at 10h00 and re-open on Thursday, 2nd January 2025.
    • Double executions will take place on Thursday, 12th December, Friday, 13th December, Thursday, 19th December, and Friday, 20th December 2024 to accommodate closures.
    • Conveyancers are encouraged to lodge their deeds and documents before Wednesday, 11th December 2024. Any deeds and documents lodged after this date are not guaranteed to register in 2024.
    • The cut-off date for lodgements is Monday, 23rd December 2024.
    • Automatic rejections will be temporarily suspended until Tuesday, 7th January 2025 to allow deeds to remain ‘on prep’ from Tuesday, 17th December 2024.
