The City of Cape Town municipality is experiencing a backlog in issuing rates clearance certificates. As these certificates must accompany the formal set of documents that is sent to the deeds office to effect transfer of ownership in the property, delays are anticipated in respect of the estimated date of registration of transfer.
We are doing our best to manage this and to ensure registration as close as possible to your desired date. We remain in communication with the municipality in this regard.
