NEWSFLASH | Pretoria Deeds Office

Please be advised that the Pretoria Deeds Office has closed again this week due to a staff member testing positive for the Covid-19 virus. We will keep you updated regarding the re-opening.

Unfortunately this will again result in a big backlog of deeds, and will be compounded by the fact that they were closed on 03rd, 04th, 10th, 11th June 2021, and unfortunately had to close again on 15th June 2021 due to a positive Covid case.   Prior to lockdown last year the time frame was around 8-10 working days from lodgement to registration. Our current estimates are around 15 – 20 working days. This of course makes it tricky as rates and levy clearance certificates will expire and will need to be re-applied for in certain circumstances. The paralegal attending to your transfer will get in touch with you should your transfer be affected by this.
