In an attempt to address the present examination backlog at the Cape Town Deeds Office, that Office has resolved that, for the interim, it will accept new transaction lodgments only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
We hope that the arrangement makes inroads in the backlog so that the Deeds Office can render its services at required levels as soon as possible. However, consequential delays are likely as daily lodgments will increase to make up for the lost lodgment opportunities.
We are monitoring the situation and will liaise with the Deeds Office where indicated.
