LAYLA ADAMS
Layla Adams is an Associate at the STBB Claremont office.
Layla studied at the University of Cape Town (UCT) between 2013 and 2017. During this time she completed her Bachelor of Social Science degree (BSocSci) in 2013 where she majored in Sociology and Politics, thereafter she completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2017. Whilst completing her LLB, Layla also worked at non-profit organizations such as UCT Law Clinic and UCT Refugee Rights Clinic doing community work, where she worked under qualified attorneys to provide underprivileged and vulnerable members of surrounding communities with free legal services. Prior to starting her articles, she got an opportunity to do an internship at the City of Cape Town, first in the Mayor’s Office and thereafter in Legal Services where she developed a strong interest in property and planning law. During her time at the City, she also completed her certificate at the School for Legal Practice through UNISA.
When she is not working, Layla enjoys cooking, reading and indulging in outdoor activities like going to the beach and going for hikes. She has an adventurous spirit and is always keen to try new things.
