LAUREN MALTBY

Lauren is a Director based at STBB KZN. An admitted Attorney, Conveyancer, and Notary Public, she graduated with a BA and LLB from the University of Natal in 1995 and 1997, respectively. With over 25 years’ experience in the legal sphere, Lauren specialises in property law and conveyancing. Her expertise encompasses a broad range of property transactions covering residential, commercial, farming, conventional, and sectional properties, including the opening of sectional title schemes, townships, and the registration of subdivisions, consolidations, and developments. In addition, Lauren attends to the registration of mortgage bonds for numerous financial institutions while her notarial work includes servitudes, cessions of real rights, antenuptial contracts, and notarial bonds. Prior to joining STBB, she led departments at various prominent KZN law firms and also served on the board of the Pietermaritzburg and Midlands Chamber of Commerce. Lauren takes pride in maintaining strong client relationships to ensure exceptional service delivery while providing strategic legal solutions. She has a special interest in social responsibility, particularly the empowerment of young girls in disadvantaged educational settings.
