Newsflash | Fish Hoek Bottle Store Licencing | December 2018

Although bars and restaurants are licensed to sell alcohol in our Fish Hoek valley, liquor store trading has been forbidden for the past 200 years after the area was proclaimed a dry town in its founding document.

This is about to change. Last week PicknPay won a Western Cape Liquor Authority appeal, paving the way for it to open a liquor store in Fish Hoek.

The appeal was successful as the Authority held that it has not been shown that the character or ethos of the town would be negatively affected, that property values would decrease or crime will increase.
