This August, STBB celebrates a momentous milestone: 125 years of exceptional legal service. Since opening for business in a small Cape Town office in 1900, we’ve endeavoured to create a lasting and meaningful impact through our various corporate social initiatives.
This year, in honour of our 125th anniversary, we’re hosting a special Trail Run in partnership with Miles for Smiles at the lush Muratie Wine Estate on Sunday, 21st September 2025.
Our goal is to fund 125 life-changing cleft lip and palate surgeries for children in need – representing one surgery for every year of service!
Since 2017, we’ve collaborated with Miles for Smiles to support Operation Smile South Africa – a non-profit organisation that provides free corrective surgery to children born with cleft lip and/or palate conditions. Together, we’ve funded more than 400 life-altering surgeries. At a cost of approximately R5 500.00 each, these surgeries remarkably improve a child’s ability to speak, eat, and smile.
Set amongst exquisite vineyards on what promises to be a crisp spring morning, our 125th Anniversary Trail Run offers participants more than an exhilarating outdoor experience: Every entry contributes to indelibly changing a child’s life.
