Yusuf completed his LLB degree at the University of the Western Cape at the end of 2018 and started his articles at STBB in January 2019. He spent 6 months in the commercial law department in the Cape Town branch dealing with a variety of commercial aspects ranging from researching to drafting agreements. He is currently in the Tygervalley litigation department whereby the bulk of his work relates to foreclosures for the banks as well as other general litigation matters.
Prior to that, he memorized the Holy Quran and graduated in 2010 from Jam ‘Eyyatul Qurra. He has competed in numerous recitation competitions of a local and international nature achieving top 3 in all. He also leads the night prayers during the month of Ramadan at Masjidul-Quds in Gatesville which houses up to around 4000 congregants. I have travelled to numerous countries around the world to lead prayers at religious gatherings and conferences which include places such as but not limited to Saudi Arabia, Syria, Morocco, India, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
He has also completed a one year intensive course at the Madina Institute (South Africa) on ‘Islamic sciences’ which is Internationally accredited and graduated with a degree in 2014.
