DANIELE-B VON ZIEGLER SMITH

Danny-B is an Associate: attorney, notary and conveyancer practising at the Cape Town branch.  After completing a LLB degree at Stellenbosch University (SU) in 2019, she did a postgraduate honours degree in journalism. In 2021 she completed LSSA’s LEAD program and her LLM (Master of Laws) whilst employed by SU’s Law Faculty as a legal writing consultant. Danny-B attained a distinction for her Masters level dissertation under CG van der Merwe, in the field of International Comparative Apartment Ownership, dealing with sectional title schemes in various jurisdictions, including New South Wales and Singapore. She appreciates how effective use of language and the law enables us to empower others with knowledge. She did legal research, academic as well as PR writing for Prof Thuli Madonsela on numerous topics relating to social justice issues, particularly how this was exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides a love of languages and writing, she enjoys staying physically active. She enjoys outdoors activities like hiking with family and friends and scuba diving. Being an adrenaline junkie she loves adventurous travels, exploring various cultures and cuisine.
