How do responsible parents make provision for the care of a minor child in the event their death?<\/p>\n

The Children\u2019s Act makes provision for parents to appoint a fit and proper person as guardian in their stead. This appointment can be made in your Will.<\/p>\n

If there is no guardian, the High Court as upper guardian of all minors, will make a decision in the best interests of the child, with due consideration to the wishes of the child and taking into account the age and maturity of the child in question.<\/p>\n
