{"id":43792,"date":"2025-11-17T10:00:51","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T08:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stbb.co.za\/dev2\/?p=43792"},"modified":"2025-11-17T10:20:59","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T08:20:59","slug":"newsflash-the-eastern-cape-deeds-registry-qonce-confirms-festive-working-arrangements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stbb.co.za\/dev2\/newsflash-the-eastern-cape-deeds-registry-qonce-confirms-festive-working-arrangements\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsflash | The Eastern Cape Deeds Registry: Qonce confirms festive working arrangements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/stbb.co.za\/dev2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Newsflash_Deeds_Registry_Notice-Eastern-Cape_Qonce_14November2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>notice<\/u><\/a> received on Friday afternoon, the Eastern Cape Deeds Registry: Qonce has confirmed its special working arrangements in anticipation of the festive season.<\/p>\n<p>With the aim of keeping our valued clients informed and ensuring that all transactions are finalised timeously, please note the following dates for matters lodged at the Qonce Deeds Registry:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Deeds Office will be closed to clients and the public on Wednesday, 24<sup>th<\/sup> and 31<sup>st<\/sup> December 2025 at 10h00.<\/li>\n<li>It will operate \u2013 with limited staff \u2013 on Monday, 29<sup>th<\/sup> December 2025, Tuesday, 30<sup>th<\/sup> December 2025, and Friday, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> January 2026 before resuming normal operations the following week.<\/li>\n<li>Any deeds and documents lodged by Friday, 12<sup>th<\/sup> December 2025 will be prioritised for registration on or before Tuesday, 23<sup>rd<\/sup> December 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Any deeds and documents lodged after the above date are not guaranteed to register in 2025.<\/li>\n<li>In line with the Deeds Office\u2019s early closure, no lodgements or registrations will take place on 24<sup>th<\/sup> or 31<sup>st<\/sup> December 2025.<\/li>\n<li>The final day for submitting Cape Town-related requests is Friday, 12<sup>th<\/sup> December 2025. Crucially, any requests submitted after this date will not be processed until Monday, 5<sup>th<\/sup> January 2026.<\/li>\n<li>From Monday, 15<sup>th<\/sup> December 2025 to Tuesday, 23<sup>rd<\/sup> December 2025, registration will take place from 08h30 to 10h00 and again from 11h00 to 12h30.<\/li>\n<li>To avoid complications, all Deeds Office accounts must be finalised \u2013 with proof of payment \u2013 by Wednesday, 24<sup>th<\/sup> December 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although STBB\u2019s 13 offices close at midday on Wednesday, 24<sup>th<\/sup> December 2025 and will reopen on Monday, 5<sup>th<\/sup> January 2026, we are committed to ensuring that your transaction is registered on your selected date.
