It is a request for conveyancers to draft deeds and documents submitted to that office in English, necessitated by the fact that there are too few examiners in that registry who are adequately conversant in Afrikaans for purposes of examining deeds.<\/p>\n<p>This request has also been communicated to the Property Law Committee of the Cape Law Society and they have indicated that they understand and support the request.<\/p>\n<p>Regulation 35(2) of the Deeds Registries Act, quoted below, must however still be complied with.<\/p>\n<p>Reg 35(2) \u201c<em>Conditions must therefore be inserted in deeds in the official language in which they were constituted, provided that where any conditions are embodied in a registered deed in another official language, such language may be perpetuated in subsequent deeds.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please take note that the Registrar of Deeds: Cape Town issued the attached notice on 23 February.
