{"id":33068,"date":"2023-10-12T10:00:27","date_gmt":"2023-10-12T08:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stbb.co.za\/dev2\/?p=33068"},"modified":"2023-10-12T10:00:27","modified_gmt":"2023-10-12T08:00:27","slug":"newsflash-fics-directive-6-deadline-looms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stbb.co.za\/dev2\/newsflash-fics-directive-6-deadline-looms\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsflash | FIC\u2019S Directive 6 deadline looms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In March this year, the Financial Intelligence Centre (\u2018the FIC\u2019) issued Directive 6 which required of estate agents (and other accountable institutions) to complete the Risk and Compliance questionnaire enclosed in the Directive and submit it to the FIC. Compliance is obligatory.<\/p>\n<p>The FIC extended the initial deadline of 31 May 2023 to August 2023. However, as it appears that many had still not completed the questionnaire, the FIC issued a note on 5 October providing a final deadline by which to complete and submit the report, being <strong>17h00 on 13 October<\/strong>. If you have already submitted your <strong>Directive 6 Risk and Compliance Return<\/strong>, you need not do anything more at present.
