For businesses however it means stepping up on internal and external privacy protection processes to make sure these requirements are met.\u00a0Apart from the reputational damage, hefty fines can follow on non-compliance.<\/p>\n<p>We are here to assist. Once you have answered these\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stbb.co.za\/dev2\/how-compliant-is-my-business-questionnaire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong data-stringify-type=\"bold\">10\u00a0questions<\/strong><\/a>, you will have a better understanding of how much there is to achieve in the 12 month window period. \u00a0\u00a0We suggest that you liaise with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stbb.co.za\/dev2\/find-a-lawyer\/?fwp_search=maryna%20melanie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong data-stringify-type=\"bold\">our Privacy Compliance Team<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to guide you going forward and work through our suggested\u00a0<strong data-stringify-type=\"bold\">6 month Gearing-Up Programme<\/strong>. \u00a0For starters, you would need to finetune a privacy policy in which you set out how you intend to deal with client and staff personal information that you hold.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stbb.co.za\/dev2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Draft-privacy-policy.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong data-stringify-type=\"bold\">This draft<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is a handy beginning for an estate agency business.
