SHANAAZ SPEELMAN

Shanaaz is a Candidate Attorney in the Litigation department at the Cape Town branch. She obtained her LLB from the University of the Western Cape in 2020, and completed her LLM in International Trade Law at the University of Cape Town in 2021. Prior to joining STBB, Shanaaz worked as a research assistant. At university, she was Deputy Chairperson of Legal Chambers, which provides pro bono legal representation to students, and is currently a regional representative for Afronomics Law. With experience in legal tech and compliance, Shanaaz finds inventive solutions to complex legal problems.
