Sandisiwe Bikwana

Sandisiwe graduated with her LLB in April 2019 and with her LLM in Intellectual Property law in March of 2020. During her undergraduate period, Sandisiwe actively took part in three organizations; Street law- where she was required to educate disadvantaged groups on their basic legal rights, the second was CLASI- where she undertook in educating high school learners on the primary principles of constitutional law, and hopefully inspire them to take on the profession. In her final, she was an active member of the Black Lawyers Association where she took part in fundraising activities and organized seminars with individuals with reputable positions in the profession as guest speakers. She had also undertook working at UWC’s Legal Aid Clinic in her final in which she had thoroughly enjoyed as it not only afforded her to the practical aspects of the law, but also fulfilled her desires in assisting the economic disadvantaged members of our society, as she too comes from such a background. Furthermore, she had been part of the Top Achievers program for all 4 years and made Dean’s list in first and final year. Aside from her strong commercial interests, Sandisiwe is also a strong advocate for social justice and possesses a keen interest in litigation. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with close family and friends; sports and possesses an interest in the study of astrology and numerology.
