QUILOME DAVIDS

Quilome is a second year Candidate Attorney in the Developments department at the STBB Cape Town branch. He completed his LLB degree at the University of the Western Cape in 2020 and is currently completing his LLM degree in International Family Law. Quilome is passionate about teaching and learning and has worked as a graduate assistant in the law faculty at UWC, where he still provides young law students with academic support in his free time. He is also a strong advocate for children’s rights and has worked closely with various leading academics as a research assistant at UWC in 2021. Quilome has been on the executive committee of the UWC Moot Court Society since he started his legal studies and has very close ties with his Alma Mater. He aspires to become a Conveyancer and Notary Public, noting that access to legal studies is a privilege very few young people in his rural town of Komani in the Eastern Cape are afforded and this fuels his desire to learn as much as he can. In his spare time Quilome enjoys reading on Critical Race theory and credits African jurisprudence for his passion for legal studies. He is also an avid Manchester United Football supporter.
