MARETHA DELPORT

Maretha started her articles with STBB in July 2023 in the Litigation department at the Tyger Valley branch, and is now on rotation in the Conveyancing department at the Cape Town branch . She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and worked in the hospitality industry for many years, becoming a senior manager at the 5 star Radisson Blu hotel. When she realised that her passion lies with the law, she decided to completed her LLB at Stellenbosch University and graduated in 2019. During this time she was able to do a course on EU Commercial and Company Law in Germany. She completed her LLM in competition law in 2023 whilst working in the real estate sector. In a firm with such vast legal knowledge and expertise such as STBB, she hopes to learn as much as possible during her articles to eventually have a meaningful and impactful career in law. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at animal shelters and spending time with friends exploring our beautiful city.
