JAYDENE MANUEL

Jaydene, a Bachelor of Laws graduate and legal intern from the University of the Western Cape, is a Candidate Attorney at STBB based at the Helderberg branch. She is currently learning the ropes in the Conveyancing department.  During her studies, she was part of the Street Law Society where she went out into impoverished communities and educated marginalised groups on their rights and legal remedies. She also spent semester breaks volunteering at Magistrate Courts and, after graduating, volunteered as a legal consultant at a pro bono Legal Advice Office in Athlone. She enjoys using the law to solve problems. It was this aspect, that also motivated her to choose conveyancing as an elective in the final year of her studies. She obtained 1st position in her class for this subject. When she is not at work, she enjoys adventures by hiking up a mountain and exploring different cuisines.
