GENEVIEVE ROUSSEAU

Genevieve is a Candidate Attorney in the Litigation department at the Claremont branch. She completed her BA, LLB, and LLM in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Stellenbosch in 2020, 2022, and 2023, respectively. Genevieve’s love for the law is rooted in the overlap between her deep enthusiasm for artistic pursuits and her analytical personality. Her dedication to this niche legal sphere allowed her to co-found the Stellenbosch Art Law Clinic (SALC) with the German University of Münster, which provides pro bono legal assistance to young artists on IP, labour law, and contracts. Passionate about research, Genevieve hopes to continue her legal career investigating artificial intelligence and its impact on the law universally.
