AMY-LEE VAN DER HEYDEN

Amy-lee is a Candidate Attorney at STBB Claremont, currently doing her rotation in the Litigation department. She graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 2022. During her studies, she was the head co-ordinator of the UWC Street Law Society and was a volunteer at the Black Lawyers Association. In addition, she was a mentee in the International Association of Women’s Judges and pursued leadership development with the UWC Student Development Program. Amy-lee is passionate about women’s rights, social justice and advocating for marginalized groups. Her main legal interests are litigation, property law and competition law and she is eager to pursue a career in these fields. During her free time, she enjoys exploring new markets, visiting the beach or different libraries.
